Consultancy

One of the key elements of our business is supporting leaders to navigate through the continuous change that is modern life. This may mean simply offering key leaders some coaching to clarify their thinking (see coaching services), helping to create sustainable systems within organisations for continuous reflection, creativity and development or supporting the complete redesign of service delivery.

Partnership is the key value underpinning our consultancy practice and we build solid, honest and equal partnership through:

  • openness
  • transparency
  • inclusion of views and values
  • respect for difference
  • conflict resolution

We specialise in process consultancy, supporting organisations to develop the capabilities they need to formulate and achieve their vision.

Our consultancy team is made up of a core team and a network of associates who have a highly unusual combination of well-developed skills and knowledge. Our consultants have diverse backgrounds in: NHS management, clinical practice (speech & language therapy, family therapy, psychotherapy, and nursing), business management, marketing, teaching, higher education and coaching. Their expertise spans:

  • organisational systems and processes
  • leadership and management
  • risk management
  • effective clinical and managerial decision-making
  • service delivery and evaluation
  • values, culture and teams
  • change management/organisational development
  • data analysis

This gives us the flexibility to create a team that best fits the needs of our clients and the project they have identified.

Getting started
Initial contact: All our consultancy contracts start with a preliminary discussion about what you may gain from external consultancy.

Contracting meeting/call: Once we have established that we may be able to offer something useful, we will meet with agreed members of your team to discuss the project brief, outcomes, terms of reference, and a broad project structure. For smaller projects this may be a phone call. This meeting is always free of charge.

Proposal: We will prepare a project proposal from our contracting discussion with you, including the process, timescales and costs of the proposed project. We may offer you two or three options if this is possible within the project brief.

Getting going
Finalising the Contract: If you decide to proceed with the project, we will have further discussions to refine the proposal and agree a final contract.

Process meetings: We will build into the project regular opportunities for reviewing and reflecting on the progress and to renegotiate any aspect of the contract that needs to be adapted as we proceed.

Project Report: We will always produce a report at the end of the project outlining the process, outcomes and recommendations for the future and a debrief about the project process.

If you would like to discuss your particular needs please contact Kate in the first instance.
